 Return Pump/Bulkhead size I have a 55 gallon AGA reef ready tank i used the overflow kit tha came with it i belive it is a 1 inch bulkhead. I want to know what size return pump i will need it travles a total of around 4 feet there are no real 90' bends maybey 1 i am using flexible tubing so the water travles from the sump through my uv and than back to the tank total distance of 4 feet.... do i need something like a mag 7 or 9.5 or will this work Odyssea WP-1000 Water Pump  |

| Re: Return Pump/Bulkhead size A 1 inch bulkhead has a flow rate of approximately 660 gal/hr. A mag 7 at 4 foot head has a flow of 480 gal/hr while the 9.5 has a flow of 800 gal/hr. Danner Supreme Mag-Drive Aquarium Water Pump/Powerhead

| Re: Return Pump/Bulkhead size AGA tanks are 1" drains and 3/4" returns standard. with that being said, a Mag 7 would probably be a good choice for ya. Keep in mind you dont want alot of flow through your sump area. Otherwise you could have a larger return for more flow, but this is what powerheads are for.  |

| Re: Return Pump/Bulkhead size dont get the odysee wp1000, i have it now and it sucks. I plan on getting a mag 9.5 for a return, but i need to save a little bit first.
