| i only spot feed, my elegance coral and my two anemones...i have been expecting the gonipora to die for the past 4 months because my two clown fish have chosen it as their home...at first it didn't open and i was sure it was going to die, i moved it, and the clown fish just found it again..but after like a month it has stayed open and doesn't seem to close as much anymore........maybe the clowns are bringing food to it and thats why its alive i dont know....im a rookie with this stuff... |
| ||||
| i have heard the same thing, i got it from my friend who said its going to be really hard to keep...i dont feed it, the only thing it gets is whatever the clown fish bring to it...which is usually mysis shrimp... |

i really dont know..lol..im just guessing its eating whatever they bring it....i have heard they do good in tanks that aren't over skimmed...which counts mine out...but who knows...my favorite coral by far is my elegance coral which most people dont like....on certain days i measured it at just over 13 inches across.. i feed it a piece of cut up fish, once a week or so..you can't tell in the pick but when its fully opened it touches rock to rock on both sides of it..i had to move corals around to avoid it.. |

| lol Yes, all of the work needed to have a succesful tank. The need to brush up on all of your cuss words while performing alterations and tank management. The complete and understanding needed by loved ones when you say things like "I have a better place to put this tubing." The constant enrollment in 12 step programs after losing livestock after livestock and just never having enough to drink to dull the pain. Yes, many trials. |
| ||||
| what is the name of the thing your clownfish is hosting? i saw exacly the same one at my LFS with a clown on it. |
| ||||
| I have a quick Q, what other things do clownfish host besides anemones? |
| ||||
| Powerheads, glass cleaner magnets, seaweed clips. colt coral, mushrooms, kenya tree coral, toadstool... |
| ||||
| Wow, nice tank!! Thanks for the pictures and inspiration!
