oops I forgot the link again, I going for the nova extreme t-5. 216 watts. Over a glass canopie. this is enough light for corals that need "high" lightning needs right?

how could i not, the surface would get dusty but most of all anything will get inside the tank and some of the fish I like may jump out like the firefish. i had someone who thought he was feeding the fish and put some noodles in the tank. lol

so I added a long spine urchine because i know how much cardinals like them. And a firefish wich im not so sure of, they look sesitive.
I am now considering a metal halide because i have seen really cheap light bulbs in ebay. But the nova extreme is still my cheapest choise.

Adding at the same time or before anything that can be aggressive does help.

keep in mind that it is 55g so the firefish can hide and run away easier.
But i have heard nasty death stories on firefish and i think i would like a shrimp gobie insted like the candy cane one.

Well my parents have finally started to talk about some houses we might move to. I there is one that we are likely to move and i think i found a perfect place for my tank. I will be able to get rid of my embarasing stand and place the tank higher and it will divde the kitchen from the dining room. not only that but I will be able to have a sump!!!!! this is why i have not bought any equepment yet. just that the sump will be on top of the tank, any suggestions for that?

Ok so i updated my drawings lol.
wich one do you guys like the best?
this one would be a FOWLR and would have mostly agg fish, no corals.

This onewould be mostly peaceful but will have an eel. i would like to keep some corals on this one but the eel will probably nock them down.
and finally the peacefull tank. This one will have all types of corals and i would try to get a metal halide. so what do you guys think?

How about the last one with lots of corals and a lionfish along with a leaf fish?

And drop the idea of MH and look into t-5!

I like the last one now! I have changed my mind a couple of times. I agree with Elliot, add a lionfish to it! Would be great.

What I am suggesting is to keep the reef idea for the tank, but instead of all peacful fish, add a lion an eel and whatever you want, and that way you can have the best of both!

By the time you move I might be ready for some fish - we'll have to meet down at Tangs and shop for fish!!! What area are they looking in?
