Default took some pictures to share

They aren't very good, but thought I'd share them anyway as one of my favorite things is to look at other peoples tanks.

This was my tank about 6 weeks ago, around 6-7 weeks after setup.

I want to share these pics because it'll show all the new people and everyone fighting the algae war that it can be done!

Nice tank, I really like the Tomini Tang. What did you use to get the rock stacked?

Looks good, I like the towers. Wish mine had come out like that, but I was working with boulders.

Thanks everyone.

To stack the rock I used a carbon arrow and drilled holes through the rocks and set them down over the arrow. In hindsight it doesn't really give me alot of options on placing corals, but it gives my fish alot of room to swim and I have no deadspots, it is completely open in the back.

The tomini is my favorite. He was at the LFS for like 3 months, no one wanted to buy him because he was skittish when someone walked by the tank. My wife called him the "shy" fish. One he got settled down in the tank he has been awesome!

Nope, he has the brown body, white tail, and the orange fins. He's in the middle of the first newer pic.

Yup, Tomini Tang. They are bristle tooth tangs, eat alot of film algae and stay pretty small (for a tang).

Arrows like you'd shoot, ya know a bow and arrow? They are alot smaller than trying to use PVC. The ones I used were made from carbon instead of aluminum like most of them are.

IME the epoxy doesn't seem to bond real well to the rocks. This way you don't have to worry about anything knocking the rocks down.

I used a good size rock for the base, and drilled into the big rock so the arrow is down in there about 4 inches. Made sure to put the rock on the bottom glass (I used a piece of acrylic under the base rock to spread the pressure out some) the started stacking from there. I got the arrows for a few bucks a piece at Walmart.
