Default Switching Tanks - how long can cuc be without powerheads??

I'm switching tanks, from the 240 + fuge and sump to 300 + fuge and sump. Need some time between taking tank down and setting up new tank. Fish are in QT so no problem there. I have limited powerheads and will need to divide tank into more tubs than I have powerheads. My questions are:
1. How will my cuc of snails and hermits do in a tub without powerheads for a week to 10 days?
2. How will live rock do without lights and powerheads and heat for same amount of time?
3. Anyone want to come to semi/sunny CA to help???!!!
Any suggestions/tips greatly appreciated....

You can get a couple large rubbermaid tubs or trash cans and put all of your rock and cuc into them with a powerhead or two in each. You don't want your cuc or rock to go over a few hours without some type of circulation because the water needs to stay oxygenated or you'll have die off. Light and heat isn't a necessary, but it would be ideal to throw a heater in each tub with rock and cuc in it. I wouldn't worry about the light though as long as you don't have corals in the tubs.

I was afraid that would be the answer guess I'll be getting a few extra powerheads for the meantime. Or empty the tank into big rubbermaid bins and then move the tank and put stuff back into the tank till the new tank is here.... Either way lots of work... Anyone want free room and board in exchange for labor??

Stephanie, what is the temperature out there; do you actually need a heater this time of year in CA? At the same time, why are upgrading for just 60 gallons of water? Does the 300 have built in overflows or something other than just added water volume?

Temp is in the 70's during the day - gets to 30's and 40's at night (I'm at a little altitude for CA) without the heater the tank was getting to below 70.
I am upgrading because the existing acrylic tank is so scratched it is disappointing to look through. I got the tank with the house and it had lots of scratches when I got it, had a 'service' caring for it for awhile - which added more scratches, and in my ignorance about acrylic tanks I added a bunch. I tried to remove some of the scratches which just made it hazy.
I changed the overflow to a 'coast to coast overflow' - the overflow box is from one end of the tank to the other, 6" deep from the top and about 4" in width. It is clear acrylic and should give me really good filtration.
I got rounded corners and went 6" higher just for looks, the main reason is just that the existing tank is too scratched.
With all the effort we put into these tanks I want a good view!!!

You do realize, you will have like 10 people out there staying with you, you offered a pool, free room and board, and come out and set up an amazing tank. Hmmm....you don't know what you are getting yourself into! haha. Sign me up for the train too, you have internet? I can work from there...obviously you do, haha

There isn't room for 10 in the house but we could set up a labor camp in the back yard!! The BBQ works great, fridge for adult beverages - all the comforts of home without the sub zero temps!!! We are supposed to have rain for a few days, but a CA 'storm' would be nothing for you cold weather people!!!

Sure!! If I remember correctly you work in the medical field - we should probably have someone experienced in first aid around for the inevitable injury

If you have a military installation out there, I could get there for free...of course, I might show up a month late, depending on who else needs to fly.

I'm not terribly far from 29 Palms, and others, but not sure if they have an airstation. I'm 8 miles from Ontario aiport. But if you walk from the airpot it is all uphill!!!!! I'll send a cab
