I got the bit, just got done ordering it. It made me really happy too because sometimes small things slip my mind and i had 9 dollars in my paypal account so the total was like 4.70 from the bank, which is hella awesome. I will be watching alot of videos and reading up alot on how to do this, so does anyone have any really good links. Also, i figured that if i break it i will just buy a 75 gallon that is the same length but wider and have it made Reef Ready, learn from previous mistakes i guess. One last thing, now that i will have the holes i need the overflow thing to put over them. Do i have to make it or can i just buy one and be done. Anyone know of a place to buy one at? Thanks again

I've never done it but a friend of mine drilled his 20g. He had the tank laid on the front glass, he drilled a perfect hole, then the piece of glass fell out of the bit and hit the front glass and cracked it. He even had a piece of masking tape to hold it but it still fell...on a 55 the glass is thicker but be careful, I would put a piece of foam or rolled up cloth or something in there...
