Default Lighting

I have been raising seahores, for several years and then I thought I would add leather's a deval's claw, then featherdusters, then mushrooms, then a brain coral, a toadstool a purple tube worm and sandsifting goby a phycodelic goby, cleaner shrimp two sea horses that seam very happy and fat , now my need to know question is what kind of lighting would I need on a 55 gal tank. There are tons and I just don't know what kind to get and they are a little steep in price to be guessing. Can anyone make a good suggestion. Me and my better half are having a peaceful debate and then I thought of asking yall.

thanks to all for all the good info, we find in here. Great job, lots of nice and funny people I read even when I don't have a question just to be sure I'm doing most things right.

Thanks again
Autumn and Brett

IMO I would go with a six tube HO t5 sys. I have t5's and they are awesome. You don't have to really worry to much about them heating your water. They have a high lumen so you could place your open brain on the sand.

If you have the standard 55 long tank it is only 18 inchs deep so you wont need lots of light to penatrate to the bottom.Have a look at this fixture,it has all the bells and whistles and single lamp reflectors.
