Default PICS of 45 Gallon Tank, Canopy, Sump Build

Im uploading pictures right now of all the work ive done in the past month. My tank looks radically different now that ive done multiple upgrades.

I build a sump and a box to conceal it behind my tank. I build a canopy with custom metal halides and fluorescent actinics, moonlights, and cooling fans. I made adjustments to the stand and added a sump light to grow macroalgae. I added new corals and fish and reaquascaped the rock in the tank.

Some of you also were keeping up to date on the health of my yellow tang...hes doing great i put before and after pics up first so you see him...ive supplemented his diet with vitamins and given him lots of algae to eat.

Tell me what you think!!!

I have got a pretty good size sailfin tang, looked just like that, I increased my iodine, within two months his fins were back, and he does not lookmlike he has missed a meal.I feed every two to three days, anyone think that is not enough, please tell me why? so far it has worked, cause I had way more problems with the tank taking a nose dive when I went too feeding every day. (luck?)

A lot of progress! I'm glad the yellow tang is still doing well--he's got character!

I would be careful with having your sump directly under the outlet. Also a set of DJ power strips would really clean up your wire mess that you have going on and allow you work more efficiently when you need to.

What kind of lights are you running?

Love the tank! More pictures!

Looks good! I'm thinking about getting a yellow tang this weekend. They definitely stand out in other people's tank shots.

well guys it has been fun having a reef tank but I just finished selling off all the corals and tearing down my 45 gallon tank.....i cant take it to school with me in the fall and i needed to buy a new computer so i took it down now. I still have the tank setup but i sold all the live stock and rock and it is just sitting now. Sorry i never got around to more pictures before i took it down. I did however setup a 30 gallon tank with some skunk clowns and other smaller fish to keep me happy lol
