Some people do it different ways, but i cut with a exacto razor at the base of the branch that you want to cut off.Make a clean cut dont saw. Then dry the cut base with a napkin, there will be slime, and then super glue to what ever you are attatching it to.If the colt isnt big enough with branches then cut the branch rite down the center and put back in tank or water. In a couple weeks it will have made seperate branches.

Google Colt coral Propagation or colt coral fragging. There is an 8 minute video of a guy doing just what you are asking about. I used to have the link but cant find it....sorry.

I dont think you can use superglue on coltcoral! usually a toothpick method works good just to slimmey to glue...BUT I HAVE NEVER TRIED IT! so I could be wronge I have a huge 10-12" colt in my 90 gallon.

Pinching a leather between rock rubble or in a low flow area usually don't work that well with colts because colt corals grow a little slower for that method to work the best. For colts, usually you can use the toothpick method, rubberband method, or any cyanoacrylate superglue (preferably the gel type).
