I see a frag tank in my future. I know have aquired a 24x24x18 acrylic cube and I have a Lumen Bright Reflector with 400watt reflux 12k bulb and dimmable ballast. WO WO

I am very patient about geting the things I want.. Mostly used to save money of coarse... I still need some sort of filter, skimmer, PH's Build a stand. But it should work out great.. I little larger than I wanted but thats ok. Just have to find a spotin my house for the new tank...

Mine is nowhere as nice as that and its only 40 gallons 18" high 24x24 a little higher than I wanted to have but for free who cares my light should not have any problem..I am going to do a little work to the tank and I will update everything I do for everyone. Probly start it in a couple weeks and get the tank preped and then build a stand....

So here are a couple of photos I just started the canopy today still have to put some skin on it and some trim but a start is a start. You can see the scratches in the front panel of plexi but they are minumum I have to pick up a scratch remover kit for that. I am going to intall a closed loop system and have 2 returns on each side for water flow and the return from the refugium on the back and a refugium/skimmer under the tank in the stand.

nice job!
speaking of frag tanks, i'd like to pose a question to the people who don't have their frag/prop tanks plumbed into their main displays-

what do you use to hold bacteria?

i have my prop/frag tank connected to it's own sump with 50 pounds of live rock.

Do to the issue I am having in my DT I have really been trying to finish the frag tank. I ended up up fragging my big M Cap and lost another coral. So there has not been any movement with coral lately. So heres the update on the frag tank.
