 Refugium...? So... I've read and heard a lot of things about keeping a refugium that is somehow connected to your actual tank. Pardon my newbie question...but how does this set up work? Thanks.  |

 Re: Refugium...? Have a look here: Refugiums I've got an external refugium which is circulating water with my sump. It contains a 6" sand bed and mostly red macro algae. I got it mostly to help provide copopod/isopods for my "scooter" blenny. The macro algae growth also helps absorb phosphates and nitrates. |
