Re: Discussion Topic? Moving and re-establishing a reef tank. yes, it will be hard to put everything back in without crushing something especially if they are covered with something like polyps. You really only have 2 choices though, you can put all the rocks back in to the best of your ability crushing or hiding a few, or switch out some of your fully covered hard to deal with rocks for new live rock and let them fill back in. I just switched from a 75gal to a 125gal my self, and had to work very hard not to crush any of my green star polyps that were on several rocks, but I got all the new rock put in place with no casualties. I had a few that was facing into the dark, but they have already grown to where they are reaching the light they need in just a few days.
