P Shaped ?Feather dusters? growing on plastic

Hi, I am new to the saltwater aquarium keeping hobby. I am hoping someone can help identify a couple of things that are going on in my tank. I have astrea snails, turbo snails, blue legged hermits, (feeder clear shrimp came in accidentally) Mandarin Dragonette, False Percula, Three striped damsel, bubble tip anemone, strawberry anemone, bristleworms, closed brain coral (favia), frogspawn, a hitchiker (round) clam, healthy population of copeopods, and one skunk shrimp, and two filter feeding crabs. Everything is looking healthy, and water quality is within specifications for corals, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, minimal nitrate, 8.1 pH. There is a snail like creature that is crawling around in my rock that pokes his head out and puffs out clouds of smoke into the water, which dispurses quickly. It doesn't appear to have a shell but it doesn't look like a nudibranch either, no color, just brownish grey, what is it? About a week ago white dots about 2/32" in size started appearing in my tank are they snail eggs and why so many snail eggs? Earlier on white dots were appearing on the glass, but much smaller perfectly round centers and they appeared to have 8 legs that would wave as the water rushed by the glass, what are those? Now I have these P shaped things growing on the wier filter plastic, are these little feather dusters? One last question... since everything is still alive and only two scarlet legged hermits have died (probably eaten by the bubble tip anemone) am I doing well?? The tank has been up and running for two months now and everything looks healthy....

Thanx,

Todd

Do you have a picture? That would help us out a lot.

be careful with the dragonet... they'll starve to death within six months if you don't have a proper copepod population, or you'll have to try and supplement his diet.
