Default Moving

Hi everyone. I'm going to be moving to a new home here in November and I want to get some last minute advice with moving my tank. I'm confident I can do it without upsetting everyone to much, but if there is anything anyone can add to make it less stressful, please let me know.

i would go get the rubber maid containers. and move them in that 5 gal buckets gets crowded fast. put all the rocks in one container sand in another and fish in another container.

Default Re: Moving

The only reason I chose the five gallon buckets is weight I didnt want to crush the rock and I had to move (carry) everything myself....spanko is right though I was thinking it was a smaller tank. I wouldnt have moved it with anything in it if it had been any bigger. I retract my statement about leaving the sand and some water in. Good Call Spanko. (Spanko had posted in another thread I thought this was the one but he is correct dont move it with anything in it)

Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?

Well everyone, I made the move to my new condo successfully and with all life intact. It wasn't as hard as I feared, but I took the necessary precautions to ensure the safe survival of my little friends. And they greatest part is a yellow watchmen goby I had that I thought I had lost turned up and is doing well. I still don't see him much but he appears from time to time. And of course, the tank looks very different now so that is exciting. If anyone has any questions about how I went and did this so successfully, please don't hesitate to ask.
