Default Missing Anemone

:confused: I have 75 gal tank and got up to feed this morning and my water is milky and can't locate my anemone. Pretty sure that's the reason for the milky water. Quarentine tank is not up and running yet. What should I do? I have already drained about 15 gallons should I do a 50% water change. I do have some survivors don't want kill anymore innocent lives. A little help please.:eek:

I would run activated carbon, and skimmer. Do water changes, and find that aneome. What kind of system are you running? Live rock and sand? Sump? I am sure that somebody else with more experience can help you with this better than I can, might be a good idea to look it up. The milky water could be due to an algea bloom, or, microbubles according to "The Mariine Aquarium Handbook". If it is an algea bloom, says to cut back on lighting and reduce the nutrients, if air bubbles, look for a leak in the return side pump. Best of luck!

Any power head's in your tank...Sound's like your power head sucked it up...50%water change and watch ammonia and nitrite level's...And sound's like your lighting might be on the week side...Anemone's require 6watt's per gallon for lighting;;;;;;

thank you for all your help. I found the little guy in the powerhead during the water change, I guess that explains the milky water and why I couldn't find him.
