Default Bubbble Anemone

Hey I have a 10 gallon tank and used to have a single clown in thier with my bubble anemone. I decided to get 2 clowns but since I heard thier can be trouble with clowns if you add them at seperate times I went to my fish dealer and traded in my clown and twenty bucks for 2 clwons. I added them togather and they got along great but after 3 days neither of them had addopted me anemone. Over the past couple days I have noticed that my bubble anemone is getting worse theirs a whole lot of mucus all over it and whenever it moves at all it leaves a trail behind it of mucus off its foot. I've also noticed that the tips of the tentacles on it arnt as bubbled as they used to be. PLus this afternonn I noticed one of my clown fish had died but the other one still seems to be fine. If any one has any advice on how to help my anemone please tell me.

Default Lighting

The bubble tip anemones need strong lighting they live off an algae that grows inside them. You may want to consider a larger tank as well. How long has the tank been setup?

I feel your pain. I used to have the nano and tried the whole clownfish/anemone thing with no success whatsoever. Anemones are usually not good candidates for nanos although I had a condy which did good for a few months. Bigger is definitely better. I recently bought a 55 and controling the water quality and lighting is now a piece of cake.

Default Rose Bubble tip Anemone

I just got this anemone on thursday morning over the mail from saltwaterfish.com . It is still very small and it got attached to piece of rock on back of aquarium where there is no light. I dont know if this is normal, although I know they need strong lighting to survive.
Its been 2 days, and not growing or not moving towards light. Does anyone know if this is normal or what?

Also , theres something white covering a couple of live rocks, its not just spots, it covers the whole rock and it has spread to other rocks.
The tank has been running for 2 months , last water parameters 2 days ago were amonia 0 nitrites .25 nitrates 0 ph 8.4

Also have lots of algae growing on rocks , have done various water changes with RO water and it has diminished but dont know if the algae on rocks will diminish by itself or I need to do something to handle it.

PLEASE HELP!!!

My bubble tip previously has gone into hiding for a week or more at a time. And it has a mind of its own for where they want to land/stay. If your param are right, your anemone will be fine, just have some patience. Just make sure it can't get sucked into a pump while roaming around.

You can always get more cleanup crew members for the algae control or use Chemiclean. I have used this in a reef aquarium and the product does exactly what it advertises.

hey Manuelonski the reason your algae might be growing so much is because it had to much light try to put it in a spot in your room where it doesnt get much natural light from windows and just the light from the tank light
