Default Impulse buy

so I was at an LFS ~70 from where I live, nice little shop...I fell in love with this purple carnation leather. Usually I do my research before buying anything but I figure, it's a leather how hard can it be??

Guess I was wrong, I got back not too long ago and every thing I read says it's almost impossible to keep these alive....Anyone have any success with these? Anyone feel like telling me I should have done my research first?

you should have done your research first, ;-p, lol. No yes your right they can be hard but ive seen and read tht there not impossible to keep. The hard part is feeding them b/c you need to feed each head/ polyp and make sure that they all get enough food. Also dont know but i had a orange one i got from my sister in law after she did the same thing, they like shadow. under a rock or ourcropping etc. GL

I keep telling myself maybe it was worth the chance...it is a cool looking coral, I'll have to take a few pics...just incase it doesn't make it. From what I read it doesn't like much light...so now I have the challenge of trying to hide it from my T5's.

You must test, but, dose Iodine and like stated before feeding is important. Try oyster eggs and phytofeast, it requires both type of food.
