 My tank is 1 yr old today A year ago today, I filled the tank with water, LS, LR and started the cycle process. During the 1st 6 months or so due to frustration (mostly algae issues) there were times when I felt like tearing the whole thing down and finding a new hobby  ...but with lots of help from you guys on RB I'm still here, the tank is not exactly where I want to be yet but it's doing well...here are some pics I took yesterday, I'm still playing around with my new camera to try and find the best settings for my aquarium..Left side:  Right side:  some more....     |

| Re: My tank is 1 yr old today Your tank is looking nice Martin. The toughest part about this hobby is the first 6 months since all beginners have a steep learning curve and a new tank is less stable. Thankfully, you stuck it out during that period and you are able to start reaping the rewards for it.

| Re: My tank is 1 yr old today Thanks Brian...I need to start adding some more corals. When I first started the reef I was excited to see anything grow, but I'm trying to be more selective going forward, looking for some nice colors. |

| Re: My tank is 1 yr old today thanks Leon. As you know, from the planning stages to where I am now it was a lot of help from guys like you, Brian and so many other members here on RB. It's a lot more interesting than the FOWLR tank I've had for years. I can't wait to see what it would look like in another year, I'm learning more everyday. |
