Default My tank is 1 yr old today

A year ago today, I filled the tank with water, LS, LR and started the cycle process. During the 1st 6 months or so due to frustration (mostly algae issues) there were times when I felt like tearing the whole thing down and finding a new hobby...but with lots of help from you guys on RB I'm still here, the tank is not exactly where I want to be yet but it's doing well...here are some pics I took yesterday, I'm still playing around with my new camera to try and find the best settings for my aquarium..

Your tank is looking nice Martin. The toughest part about this hobby is the first 6 months since all beginners have a steep learning curve and a new tank is less stable. Thankfully, you stuck it out during that period and you are able to start reaping the rewards for it.

Thanks Brian...I need to start adding some more corals. When I first started the reef I was excited to see anything grow, but I'm trying to be more selective going forward, looking for some nice colors.

Absolutely beautiful Martin. I remember when you were starting the tank. It has turned into a fine looking reef, cograts, and keep up the good work.

thanks Leon. As you know, from the planning stages to where I am now it was a lot of help from guys like you, Brian and so many other members here on RB. It's a lot more interesting than the FOWLR tank I've had for years. I can't wait to see what it would look like in another year, I'm learning more everyday.
