Problem with galaxea coral
My 85 gallon had a large toadstool that was disengrating on the stock for about the last week or so. I removed him last night and fragged what i could and moved the frags to my larger system(250 gallons or so water capacity).

My galaxea a few days ago started to die off. The part of the coral that has started to die off is some new growth that had encrusted a rock next to the main part of the coral. It has turned white and the tissue is gone. It is working its way towards the main part of the coral. One head on the main coral looks like it could be headed that way. I thought that after I moved the toadstool it would begin to heal, but more of it died off last night.

Any suggestions on what i should and could do to stop the die-off on the galaxea and possibly begin the rejuvenating of the part that just died off??? I did dose with some vitamin C.

Please help me, thanks

Did you check the water quality?

Maybe what was harming your toadstool is the same that is harming your galaxea.

Did you make a water change? Maybe the dying tissue has something to do.

Do you use carbon filtration? This could also help.
