Default Just a tad proud

Hello everyone, you know in this hobby there are many disappointments, failures and sometimes out right catastrophies, so when things are good
and coral are thriving and fish and inverts are content, those are the times we enjoy the most.
So, here is a success story I want to share. I got this Torch coral about, I want to say, 8 mos. ago.
It had 5 heads and was mis-priced at $35.00. The LFS told me since it was their mistake the price stood so I jumped on it. Well, it now has 12 heads and looks great! It is nice to see it flourish.
Here are a couple pics. Thanks for reading.

Wow, 7 heads in 8 months! Thats quite an outstanding growth rate Jed, props to you, your torch and your system parameters! It barely looks like a Torch now because of the amount of tentacles on its heads! Are you going to frag it?

Thanks Tony, I hadn't thought about fragging it. I'm kinda of the "leave nature as it is" kinda guy. Who knows though I have a Cabbage Coral that is two colonies on one rock and they irritate each other so one or the other is always shutting down/shedding and LFS buddy told me to cut it in half. I was just starting to contemplate that (after 1 1/2 years) so maybe down the road I will frag the Torch.

That's a nice looking torch Leon, I've had some good luck with those type of LPS corals too...I like the frogspawns but my tank is getting too crowded with them so I might have to start fragging. It's been a while since I saw some pics of your tank, if you don't mind, post some more pics.

Congrats to you my friend.

This is a tough hobby, so when things to well, revel, roll, and even bathe in it while it lasts. While you're celebrating, try sending some of that good luck my way.

Hey Yolanda you crazy girl! Where have you been? Good to see you on the forum. And, back at you, a big chunk of good fortune (I don't believe in luck). Hope your tank is doing o.k. Got any pics? You too martin. Tony, got any recent ones?

Not too many updates from me lately, all my lil' buddies are in QT for Osmotic Shock Therapy. Tangs.. Never had a good past with them anyway, I don't know why I thought now may be different haha. SG hit 1.010 or 14 PPT the other day, so the treatment has just begun although it took close to a month to get the salinity to that level. The display looks like a mess right now, although my parameters are golden due to the decrease in bio-load and the amount of waste being produced. LR is randomly stacked in columns with my coral placed strategically out of a possible rock slides way. I still have a little over a month of treatment to go, but when they are all back in DT I will resume pick n' fraggin'!
