Finger Coral Changed Color

I have a finger leather coral that has been in my tank for about 4 years now and the past month it has dramtically changed color from a brown-tan to nice looking forest green with deep purple finger tips. I have not changed the location of the softie nor have I changed my system-any thoughts? I thing has changed, I did remove a large peice of star polyp from close by, the to corals didn't touch just co-existed.

sounds like you got a big problem there Fred , I think that's a sign of your tank crashing....just messing with you man, it happens. One of the first corals I bought was a 1x1" piece of orange monti cap. After a few weeks it turned almost white in my tank, I thought it was dead so I just throw it in a corner in my tank, about a year later I notice color started coming back....today it's the brightest color in my tank, about 10" wide and growing over everything it could reach.

Thanks for the reply, ironically I have frags from the larger peice that are the same drap color as the older peice. The older piece just is so nice an bright now. I haven't didn't notice a change in the other corals so it was a pleasnat change.
