 UV Sterilizer Hi All, still gathering all the equipment for my new 75g setup...I've been getting mixed reviews from the lfs and online material I've been reading concerning a UV sterilizer...is a UV sterilizer required in a reef setup? Thanks, I know I ask a lot of questions but I'm new to this and you guys have been great. Hopefully someday I'll be able to return the favor to another newbie   |

| Re: UV Sterilizer no its not needed, it's just one of the many gizzmos that can make life a little easier if you have the money. all it does is remove more from the water that r.o. might leave. i live in a poor water quality area and my r.o. water works just fine on its own. it's still not a bad thing if you have the money. i believe that there may be more uses for a u.v. ster. but i never got too in depth because i was not interested in them.
