I am having trouble with a breakout of red alge, I have a 46 gallon bow front. I have tried everything under the sun but it continues to come back and is all on my live rock now.

You probably have high phosphates - get a phospahte remover & do water changes. Also check water flow in the tank.

again how much are you feeding. if every day knock it back to every two or three days. only a few fish require multiple feedings every one else will forage within the tank. this is the number one cause for slime algae and the easiest to fix. and if you do feed every other day or so then look at how much your feeding each time that may still be too much.
