Is there something to add in the water to speed up the growth? I have a Nanocube and have seen tanks with the purple all over the back of the tank.

wow, it seems that purple is the dominant color of choice! i guess that makes sense... it kind of adds that "mystical" falir to it... me? i prefer to go as natural as i can... no added chemicals... that way, its random, which is the reason i chose marine in the first place... all the little surprises that pop out... but as far as the poll goes, yeah, i like the purple too...

It's coraline algea that is green, it comes in many colors i've recently heard including pink and orange. I think I have a small amount of orange in my tank, whick i'm pretty happy about, unless it's just a sponge.

Here are some pic's of my green coraline, they didn't come out that great but you can at least see the color.

here you can see some along the front edge of the rock

on the right side of the rock you can see the intense green color

purple seems to be more dominant coraline algae If i had to vote I would vote for orange I have green and purple but purple seems to over power the others for some reason. I had one piece of tonga rock that had orange on it but only lasted a few months. Not sure if snails eat it or what but its gone.

I have a tiny bit of orange in my tank but I think it's just going to be over powered by the green. Too bad I really like the orange but it seems really hard to keep for some reason.

Has anyone here at RB been able to keep a lot of orange in there tank for a long period of time?
