Default Carib Show rock cheap

I just bought 120 lbs of Caribbean live rock online. With shipping it came to $395. I ordered the rock on Thursday at about 2:30 in the afternoon, and it was ready for pickup at the airport Friday night at 8. I wasn't really sure what to expect since this was my first LR purchase. I asked for a lot of life and a lot of "caves." Once I got the rock home I was really surprised to see the size of the rock. Over 90% of the weight was in three pieces. Huge, with a lot of crevices and a lot of decaying life. The coralline existing on the rock was a combo of pink, orange, red, brown, etc. Very interesting rock. I'm going to try and snap some shots of this and post them. I don't have anything in my tank yet, so I'm curing the rock. The place I got this stuff from is called.. Welcome to International Marine Fish - Premium Live Rock I guess he's in Florida. I'm in Denver. Anyway, so far I'm really happy with what I received.

Ive been looking at that rock on that website for a month now. I am going to buy some live rock tomorrow. In your opinion, would 120#s of this rock be too much for a 90 gal tank. I want to fill the tank 3/4s full but also want to leave some sand showing in the front of the tank. If you think it would be too much I will get 90#s and maybe some tonga branch from the lfs to finish what I want to do. Thanks JIM

I'm pretty new, but I think you could go either way. I guess it just depends on what you want your tank to look like. I wanted some open space in the sand for scooter blennies and such. But if you prefer the look of a wall of live rock, that shouldn't be a problem.
