Default My Frogspawn and Open Brain

My frogspawn is retracting away showing part of the white skeleton on some of its heads...I recently changed to superbuffer dkh as lfs said my alk may not have been high enough causing the coral to not be able to absorb calcium. What are your guys opinions and what should i use for calcium addition? Kalkwasser?

I use kalkwasser with my auto top off. White in corals is not a good sign imo.

Tissue Recession is never a good thing...

The picture you posted of the hammer coral in your other post appeared to look alright, although the picture is kinda fuzzy....

If your alk is as high as in the water test post, that would certainly cause some recession IMO...

also nitrates would stress the coral out OR even lack of light could be other possible causes...

You never treat your tank with copper or anything of that nature do you ?

It has been like that since i got it honestly and that has been over a month. It opens up really well in the day. Could the stalk or stem just be growing..Because during the day it is not showing as much white...the skin of the frogspawn is covering it
