Default finally...no more stress

this morning i tested tank parameters and yes, finally EVERYTHING was within limits, pure water utopia.i started with a 55g and several years of freshwater behind me i dove into saltwater.after battling various algae, parting with a few specimens lost.i now have a 90g AGA(main)55g AGA(DIY sump)and a 40gAGAbreeder(fuge).water is more clear than its ever been, havent lost a specimen, and pods i have them multiplying like crazy(they have taken over the overflow section of the 90). i would like to thank everyone who helped me with my onslaught of questions.ive realized that i didnt research as much as i should have before getting into reefs tanks(now i cant stay away from the glass, looking into every crevice looking for something new.again thanks for all the assistance everyone gave.....mark

congrats! i was at that point for about a day... everything was at 0 ppm, except my nitrates, which was at 20... i figured a water change would fix that, and when i tested my water the next day, it jumped up to 80!!! i used tap water, and tried to use some of that declorinator (i learned my lesson!!) and then soon after that i broke my foot, which kept me out of my own house for a month (couldn't get up and down the steps well enough)... so i finally got to come back home, and my ammonia had jumped up, and nitrates are about the same... and i've had a serious case of water evap... so sometime this week, i'm gonna buy a bunch of distilled water and try it out, maybe i can get things back to where they should be...

You cant use tap water on saltwater tank's.......... buy your self a R/O di unit you'll see a huge difference with 5 gallon weekly water change''s

i am lucky, i only have a 29gallon tank. all i have to do it go to my LFS, bring my empty 2.2 gallon jug, have them fill it with either RO water or pre-made saltwater and i am set with my water changes. so cheap its sick. i can see though how all of you with those monster tanks must spend a fortune, i mean, i am spending a fortune on mine and its tiny. expect more pics of my tank...i added some more rock and corals. i think i have about reached my limit on what i can fit in that tank.
