Default now my hospital tank is sick

Half of my husband's tank has been in the hospital tank for the last couple of weeks, over some unidentified parasitic problem. Things were going well over after copper treatment. Were. Seems like the parasite can survive copper, and of course, I have my injured chromi in there for some R & R. I am trying to think of what to do to make the situation better. I am afraid to let any of those fish out of the hospital tank. I am super frustrated! I can't think of anything besides cleaning the tank, doing a water change and kicking butt. What do you all do when your hospital tank is no longer a safe haven?
