Default reef info in Hawaii

Can someone help me with info on live rock & corals that are legal for the aquarium. I have found cultured LR at one store for $9 per lb.. No inverts. except shrimp.

Maybe Hawaii has some harvesting laws. That you may not be able to take from the ocean with out a license is this what you are asking? I know that I currently have a fish from hawaii in my tank right now.

there should be plenty of legal corals for you to have. Am I missing something here with regard to hawaii?

$9 for live rock?? holy crap, i thought $5.99 a pound was alot, thank god my tank is only 29gallons, i cant imagine trying to fill up a huge tank with live rock. you are still lucky, living in hawaii would be the bomb, except for the prices. went there on my honeymoon, couldnt believe a ghetto shack house costed(which was a lot of them) could cost a million dollars...what a joke.

yeah. from what i've found, it's illegal to collect any live rock or coral.
the price you pay for fish from here is a lot more than i pay.
i can also catch a lot of those fish myself.
yeah, hawaii is nice, but EXPENSIVE!
