Default When you skip town what do you do?

I was just wondering what people do about there aquariums when you go out of town for at least a few days. I am going out of town for a few days and I don't want to come back to my aquarium ruined! What do I do?

I will also be dealing with this. We have someone who wants to go into the fish store biz watching our fish next month. Just knowing what could go wrong in the tank makes me a little nervous. Since you will only be absent for a few days, would you consider an automatic feeder?

True I can use that but now that I think of it in a month I will be going on a trip for about a week and a half I wonder if that will be good enough!

automatic timers for your lights are good, and you would want to find a way (if you have one) to keep your protien skimmer from overflowing. maybe set up a resivour(spelling?) or get somone to empty it every other day or so and check your tank for you. I went to california for a week but I had someone to watch my tank. hope my ideas help though

Also Evaporation to worry about. I always have someone check my tank at the very least every other day. Mine need lots of attention. I am lucky enough to have a fellow reefer as a friend though. Maybe this could be new business opportunity, Reef Sitters! Many times I have left for just a few days and come home to some disaster. It is almost like the fish get upset when they are left alone. It's very wierd but I believe it to be true. My fish watch me thru out my house.

I think they love me!
