Default my RB, Jr. wants corals

I need to tell my 3 yr old no one of these days.
I will be getting my apprpriate lighting so that I can start buying corals by this Friday. My son wants a brain coral. I have no problem with that. Anyone have a suggestion as to other 'corals 101' for starters? Any favorites? Also, if you list your favorite, what flow do they thrive in?

Hi Beck,
Mushrooms do well & they don't require tons of light. Zoas are another good choice. Toadstool leathers are pretty hardy as well.

Maybe I should inform you of my lighting, as well (after reading up on zoos and so forth). I am waiting on a 65w 1 lamp, 24 hour lighting system. Includes one 65w SMARTPAQ (10,000/460 nm ACTINIC). And yes, I did copy that off the box. The lighting makes a huge difference in the tank, everything looks crisp. Mushrooms do well in it, but I do not know about the zoos! Now I need to research the green star polyp.

Forgot about the green stars. They'll do fine under the lights. Mine spread all over the place.
