![]() I can't wait hear him say something like that once I get my tank full of water. ![]() Did you look out on the net? Most of the things I find say 2 - 4 snails per gallon for algae. Crabs are for the other stuff in the tank. ![]() |

| Careful about what crabs you get. I belong to a Seahorse group, and one of the members over there is having issues with her snails by her hermit crabs. O_O I thought they got along fine, but now I'm finding that may not be the case. ![]() |

| there cute but rough, I was at my lfs and they just got a powder brown tang in. it was all messed up from being shipped and it was resting on the bottom. there were also about 200 hemits in the tank. they pretty much started eating him alive. luckily he got a little help and made it, poor little guy. |

| sounds like the tang had a very bad day good to hear he made it. well I picked up the crabs 12 of them no snails people bout them before I got there I will get pictures as soon as possible!!!

| So far I have noticed that the snails...especially the Astrea snails have helped me more with my algae than any of the hermits. They seem to be mini underwater lawnmowers. |

| I will ask the pet store to get me some of the Astrea snails they sound like a good algae mowers ![]() I thank they are doing a little good for the algae it is still to early to tell but they look very very cool
