Default star polyps

I just bought a few lbs of live rock and it is covered with star polyps. they have been in the tank for less than a week and they are going crazy. I have heard that they will take over if left to their own will. They are cool now but I don't want a tank full of grass in a year either. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. CM-

I had some green stars that grew like wildfire! Spread over everything - additional rocks, skimmer intake, tank wall, etc....

star polyps are my favorite, I've had them grow all over my rock, they usually stop there, if you reduce the water flow over the top, the growth will slow, anytime I wanted more polyps, I would direct my powerhead right over top of them
