Most if not All Angels are not reef safe fish. If you have corals they will feast! Coral Beauty's and Flame Angel's are add to a reef at your own risk! If you have corals in your tank you will be taking a big chance. My coral beauty has a taste for xenia. At least I think he takes a nip once in a while!

I've got a coral beauty and a bi-color and so far they are ok. The coral beauty ignores the corals completely, and the bi-color has nipped once or twice, but as long as I keep him well fed he stays away.

Forget it!! Large angels are not reef safe, if you know someone who has done this it's one in a million. I have a large Emperor in my FO tank, but he would wipe out my reef tank overnight if given the chance.
