| As far as when they should be on, they only need to be on when the main lights are off. The only time that lunar lights need to be more fine tuned is if you are trying to breed fish or corals. In this case you need to get the intensity of the lunar lights to match what the corals would get in the wild. Basiclly the intensity changes over a 29.5 day cycle.
