Default Clean up Crew + nitrites.

Hey guys, earlier today I got my water checked, i had .25 ammonia and no nitrites and good amount of nitrates. The LFS guy said it's too much to add any fish or snails or anything right now. So I called another LFS and the guy said it should be fine to add some snails and to come in, so I got my water checked again and my pH was around 7.8 and my nitrites were .25 , no ammonia, and my nitrates we're fine. So I added a turbo snail and blue legged hermit crab. Now how long will it be until I can add more crabs because I would like to buy a couple more since my detritus is building up.

I wouldnt add anything until my water was right raise you ph and fix your nitrites and ammonia first. keep testing your water.. crabs and snails are pretty hardy but you need to have GOOD WATER QUALITY to maintain anything else!!

be careful your on the road to making the " im to excited to wait" mistake wait untill you nitrites are 0 and your nitrates stablize before getting anything else. those two will prolly survive but dont risk anything else i know waiting stinks but water quality now could affect you tank in the long run
