| I've heard that brittle stars will go after fish if they are really hungry. Never seen it myself. I've got three brittle and one tiger stripe to help clean and so far no problem. BUT, knowing what I know, I always make sure that my stars get a share of the food. Most of the time I'll target feed them. |

| Brittle star, when they grow large enough can capture fish that are small enough for it to eat. Post a picture of the brittle star, please. If it has bristles all around it they tend to be slightly more aggressive than their counterpart the serpent star which tends to be more scavenger than carnivore. Neither one, however, is a very active predator of fish.

| I really don't think that you have much to worry about. Green brittles are the ones that go after fish. The rest are pretty much scavengers. I have a black brittle and a couple of unknowns that hitchhiked on a coral. I should be ok.
