Default my fish wont eat

it has been 24 hours since i got my fish and so far my yellow damsel hasent eaten yet.

but at the store the fish was eating.

what is worng with my fish.

Sometimes if you use garlic like Kent Garlic Extreme, it will help entice the fish to eat. Also, if you can get live food that would help too.

Live foods are always the best. The only live foods my fish get are the pods in the tank. Other than that, usually I'll make my own frozen mix. Right now I've got finely chopped krill, bloodworms, mysis, cyclopeze, and garlic. However if you go to your local grocery or fish store, get fresh shrimp, clam, oyster, squid etc. Chop it up fine in a food processor and add the garlic. You'll also want to add cyclopeze again. The fish go nuts for these home made frozen foods. AND, you save a ton of money when you buy at the supermarket.

My sweeties damsels are one step above a cat fish. They will eat anything just not off the bottom lol.

well i will have to try that tongiht because it will be 48 hours . but my fish has only eaten 1 small falke is that a good sighn or a bad one

well the fish is now eating i figured out what the problem was that the ammonia went up and the fish likes to eat food of of my cc. so i just have to make the flakes sink.

I've heard at least a week between fish but really it would be best to wait until your tank goes through a mini cycle and the levels return back to normal.
