Default Micro Bubbles

I have a wet dry filter with a little giant pump. My tank is a little over a month old. (My equipment is on my signature). I have a lot of tiny bubbles entering the tank through the returns. There are bubbles all over the top of the water in the tank also. I have checked joints for leaks but could not find any.

Anyone have any ideas??

If the MB are coming out of your returns look into your sump first. The best way I have found is to turn off all the lights (make the room dark) and look into the sump water with a flashlight. I have the same skimmer you do so check where your pump enters the skimmer and look for any bubbles there. I had to epoxy the little rubber donut into the side of the skimmer to stop and bubbles coming from there.

Next look at your adjustable stand pipe. Are there any bubbles coming from around this anywhere? I had to put a new rubber O-ring on this for a better seal.

From what I have read most MB originate from the sump if you are using one. Look very close w/flashlight. I had to get my face right down there to see them but they were there.
They were getting sucked up into the return and spewed out into the tank.

Here is an article that helped me out. Sorry, I dont think its hyperlinked. You will have to copy and paste it in your browser.
