well so far so good with this fish still no ich signs no rubbing and is eating off algae clip. i also went and bought some plants for my tank for him to pick on and he seems to like em i just hope he doesn't up and die on me cause i know how fragile these fish can be, some sites say they are better left in the ocean and i planned on doing that untill i got one by mistake lol.

I have a powder blue that has been in my FO tank for over 2 years. The biggest battle was when I first got him- he broke out with a really bad case of velvet a couple of weeks after I bought him. I had to treat him with copper in the QT for so long I didn't think he would survive it, but he made it and has been fine since then. If you have one that doesn't have velvet you are extremely lucky, be sure you don't expose him to it by quarantining everything that is going to go in the tank with him. Aside from being very suseptable to fatal cases of parasitic infestation, they are very easy to care for. Just keep your water quality good and keep feeding him the green stuff. Mine likes brine shrimp, mysis, flake food and pellets, but his favorite is all of the Julian Sprung Sea Veggies products. Good luck with him and let me know how he's doing. ![]()

Oh yeah, one other thing. Powder blues are very aggressive, don't try adding another tang to your tank once he's established. Mine has grown to around 5 inches now and I hardly ever buy a new fish for the FO tank because it is such an ordeal. He doesn't like any new fish and adding one involves covering the tank with dark towels and keeping the lights off for a few days or placing a large mirror at one end of the tank so that he spends his aggression trying to chase himself out of the tank. As long as the fish isn't another tang, he gets over it in a few days. If the fish can survive that long the powder blue will let him alone.

cool will do actually i had to remove my yellow tang because he was abusing him very badly but the other two tangs seem to leave him alone for the most part unless he gets to close to their spots lol. its kinda weird he's the only tang they've had a problem with they used to swim with the yellow and none of them would ever fight but for some reason they didn't like him. but since the yellow is gone the rest kinda put up with him. he's actually pretty small he's only like 1.5 2 in. long. so he's the smallest of all of them.
