Default My tree coral will not open

My tree coral has been in my 55 gallon reef tank for about 3 months. It has never opened but is splitting and attaching to 2 rocks now. The tank is almost 2 years old.
Any suggestions? Everything else is going well.

I have added two power heads to the 1700 Rio. The water flow where it is would be considered between moderate and strong. If it doesn't open, how does it eat?

if it is trying to move it might be trying to get into better or less light or current

What do you have for lighting ?

What are your water parameters, such as calcium, nitrates, etc ?

This is very possible. I have been reluctant to move it because of how it has adhered to the live rock. I will try moving it but in doing so will have to rebuild both sides of the tank because the rocks are large.

I am using 10,000 Kevin High-Intensity Purified Super Daylight and Moonlight. It is a compact Fluorescent setup with two 34 inch 96 watt lights (White and blue), I have two mini moonlights which are on for 10 hours ( on timer for later afternoon and evening. The white in on for 7 hours and the large blue is on for 10 hours, 1-1/2 before the white and 1-1/2after the white goes off. The lights are on timers.

The water perimeters show excellent. I recently have added a special carbon pad to the tray to remove any silicants and phosphates thinking that might be the problem.
I feed on a regular basis. 10% - 15% Water changes are done weekly on Saturday. I am using Red Sea Salt at 1.023. I use Strontium and Molybdenum (5 ml) every four days, and Iodine, Calcium (5 ml each) for trace with a buffer (2 capfuls as directed) at water changes because I am using RO water.
I have tried cutting back on the iodine but makes no difference.

Here is a picture of my tree coral. As you can see, it has not opened. It is mid height in the aquarium. This is a 55 gallon tank setup.
