Default Some sort of sea slug

I have a hitchiker. I have been on the sea slug forum going through all of the pics. If you have never been on that forum, hope you never do...there is much to go through and could take a few days. Anyway, mine is not the pretty frilly kind, mine is puke colored and plain. I couldn't get a good angle on it to see if it had some sort of shell. Looks like it could be possible. Did a little reading on WWM, kind of pointless without knowing just which sea slug I have, but Fenner gives me the impression that it might be safer to just get the slug out before I find something out the hard way. So I geared up, ready for the fight, and then he disappeared. It is not normal for me to be up at 3 or 4 AM, so I might have to start setting the alarm clock. Will take a pic if I ever get it out.

take a look at this

if thats it then you have a Tritoniopsis elegans, they are extremely harmful to soft coral especially colt corals and you should dispose of it, if you have no corals its fine in the tank it will just starve and die on its own.

It was nothing that distinct. I managed to fish it out one night. I decided to put it good use and launch some sort of biological warfare on the fire ant colony living outside my garage. I haven't seen them since!

Try googling stomatella snail. These look slug like and are common hitchhikers. My tank is full of them and i've given quite a few away locally. They are extremely benifical to a tank.
This is because they eat away all the micro algae developing on the rocks keeping them really clean, they scavenge leftover food, and regularly release clouds of eggs into the water which appear like puffs of smoke. This feeds corals and tiny lifeforms.

Could be. Looks quite similar. Maybe I will be lucky enough to get another one someday.
