Default Where do you place your tank?

I do not want to place our tank in my Living/Dining area because I cannot stand to eat around fish, does this bother anyone else?

We keep ours in the living room which is visible from the dining area, but I find it to be rather relaxing even while eating. I will feed them before we eat dinner and sit there and watch. We all have our dinner at the same time.

My 2 tanks are in my living room so i can relax and watch them after a hard day at work.
I can't see why people have them in other rooms or a room they not often use because they are there to be enjoyed

Had mine on the desk at work. Had to move offices which made it to far to carry wast or clean water so now it's on my desk at home. At least until I build a new stand for it. Then it will be right next to the couch for easy viewing.

Living room and bar currently. In the past we have also had one in the bedroom (looks cool at night with moonlights) and bathroom (nano of course).

The living room would be a nice place to set up a tank. An aquarium is calming.

mine is in our semi finished basement, which has quickly become the favorite room in the house. I dident want to put a 1/2 ton tank on the living room floor.

I would think that it would be good to keep tanks in a more open visible area; since if something would go wrong; it would be hardly noticeable in an unused room..

i used to have both aquariums on one wall with my entertainment center between them. it was so darn perfect. i loved it. recently downgraded to just one tank and moved to other wall. don't like it as much bc i can't literally watch tv and the tank simultaneously. wish the darn thing was on wheels so i could take it with me everywhere. all 100 gallons of it.

We have ours in the dining room that is open to living room and kitchen. I want everyone to enjoy it. What better place than where everyone is.

I made the mistake of putting mine in a high traffic area .. the fish sometimes get spooked.

We have ours in a greatromm ...easily viewable from the dining area.....it makes for good conversation with visitors....if you really don't like to eat around it, try a basement or bedroom

We have one in the living room and a larger one in our downstairs home bar. I tend to stay in the bar and stare at the fish. (The bar has the larger plasma TV too, not to mention closer to the beer <grin>) Hubby likes to sit upstairs and watch the tank and TV.(closer to the fridge! ROFL) Our dogs prefer the upstairs one (the Jack Russell will watch it for hours!).
