Default dead Anenome!

Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I've written a thread, but I've been on the site reading everyone else's problems and sucsesses, hoping to learn from both. I am relatively new to salt but have a decade exp. in fresh. 5 months ago, I set up a 55 with 50 lb LR, LS, refugium, mechanical hang on filter and aqua-c remora protien skimmer. the tank cycled in a couple weeks and everything went fine from there. I use only ro/di, with 30% water changes every 2 weeks. temp always with in 2 deg of 74deg.
I have 2 hermets, 2 fire shrimp, 2 scooter blennies, 3 emerald crabs , percula pair, 1 coral beaty angel, 2 feather dusters.
Here is my problem- a month or so ago I got a large long-tipped anenome and a flower anenome. everything was fine, the clownes took to it right away and they were both eating regularly. The long tip stayed right where I had placed it with the clownes taking good care of it. 5 days ago I found it floating around un-atached, but didn't think it was that unusual. I know they like to move around. yesterday it was dead, it had several scrapes and gashes in it 's side and was spewing it's guts out! the other anenome is just fine, siting attached high on the top of a piece of rock. Could something be coming out of the LR at night and be taking chunks out of it? I don't think any of the other docile inhabitants could have harmed it. Then today I noticed the feather top of one of the dusters was on the bottom!
Do they molt? the other duster is just fine. This is too much in 2 days!
By the way, all my water tests show everything is fine, I haven't had any nitrites, nitrates or amon since cycling. PH and Salinity always steady. I'm scraching my head here.
Any help much appreciated. Thanks

alright, basically, the feather duster when they are not being fed enough, or are stressed, they shed their crown. it will grow back in a few month. As for your anemone, im not sure, perhabs it was already injured when you received it. do you add any chemicals to the water? was the tnak brand new or did it have freshwater before that?
