Default water question

how far in advanced should you mix your saltwater before doing a water change, and is there an amount of time that is to long to have water mixed? Can saltwater go bad if it sits to long. thanks for the info.

I mix mine 1 min prior to adding...of course i've been told that's not good you can always mix 3-5 gallons in a bucket and use a powerhead to properly mix it over the course of a few days.

You should mix your water at least 24 hrs prior to adding it to your tank. As long as the mixed water is covered to prevent evaporation & possible contamination from dirt, provide it with proper aeration, etc. it will be good almost indefinitely.
