Default Baby Feather Duster?

Hello! I am new to the forums and this is my first post. I tried to look if there was an answer to this, but could not. Sorry if this is a repeat post.

I found to what appears to be a baby feather duster in our tank. It is literally the size of the tip of an ultra fine tip sharpie (maybe even a little smaller). The tube is white and the duster part looks like it is pinkish (its so small its hard to tell). I have no idea where it came from...we have one large brown colored feather duster...but I am not sure how feather dusters pro-create anyhow...

My question is, I don't want this little guy to get eaten or trompled on by our snails. What should I do with him? He is so small I am not sure if I could get him out of the tank without hurting him.

Thanks for your help!

Default Re: Baby Feather Duster?

first off, welcome to RB!!!!

Now to answer your question.

It is VERY common to find small feather dusters on your LR.

It is most likely a Bispira brunnea. thye come in white, pink, brown and purple.

they like to live together in groups, so it wouldnt be a unlikely if you have dozens more.

I doubt your snail will squish it, these worms are VERY hardy and will thrive in many aquarium conditions.
