Default Strangest Darn Thing...Snails

Hello all,
Just got done watching the weirdest thing I've seen in my short time frame with a reef tank.
I've had a Conch Snail for a while, along with about 10-12 various smaller sand sifting snails. A few days ago I bought 5 medium sized turbo snails..
All was going well until about half an hour ago...I saw the Conch and one of the new Turbo's hooked in some sort of "love embrace"...then I got back up and walked by the tank and there was an empty turbo shell and Mr. Conch strolling away like nothing happened.
Did I just witness "snail-a-cide" Did my Conch snatch that turbo out of it's shell and eat it....leave it to die...I'm so confused. A bit excited at the microcasm of marine life and how it works.
I KNOW it wasn't another predator. It was half an hour for the love of god. The barren shell is just laying there.

Any ideas? I could use anything you've got.

Thanks for anything you've got for me.

Mattie

my conch does the same thing.

I will see it near an empty snail shell.

It only gets the snails that flip over and cant get back up though.

I'm not sure what kind of snail it is...I'll look around for pictures online that look like it. Worst case scenario I'll take a picture myself and post it. The shell is the size of a golf ball if that helps. Which I'm pretty darn sure it doesn't.

Thanks everyone!!
