All I know is that it's going to have to be in a well established tank since they are a filter feeder...My LFS says there not a difficult species to keep as long as your tank is again, established. As for eating the other inhabitants I don't think they would...

Question 1) yes Question 2) No Question 3) No Question 4) No Great addition to a tank. Very colorful and when your lucky enough to see him move about it is very interesting as well as entertaining. Drawbacks are: Knocks over everything thus making it hard on corals and stressing anemones. (especially carpets) Hides alot in your LR therefore you do not get to see him much. Filter feeder so dosing plankton is necessary. PIc is from 5 mos ago. ![]()

I just eyed over the flame scallops tonight in the LFS store, priced for only $5.95 each. I had to pass it up as I'm going out of town for a few days... but my book says they tend to be reclusive to avoid having fish nibble at it's tentacles... doesn't say which fish. Also does poorly in nutrient-poor, efficiently skimmed systems, needs constatn source of suspended organic particles and microplankton.
