Default lion fish

Dear ninnybone,
I'm sorry to hear about your lionfish. That is so sad.
We have a 55 gal. salt tank with 3 fish, a lionfish, a spotted grouper, and a freckled hawk. They are all about 5 inches long and all eat the same food. Our lion fish is like a little puppy. Whenever we walk in the room and he is hungry, he comes up to the tank wall and just stares at us. He is so-o-o-o cute. I wonder too, if that crab wasn't the culprit. We too have 3 small crabs in our tank and I think I'm going to get rid of them. give them away or something. I would hate to see anything happen to the little guy. Did you replace him with a different fish?
Love those fishies

We had a lion for about a year, then one day it would take food and then spit it out. I lost him before i could figure out what was wrong. I have heard from a few that they sometimes get a parasite and only aggressive treatment in a quarentine tank can bring them back. Its hard to know for sure. Best of luck to you.
