Default Seaweed from the Ocean to my tank.

Hey Guys.

I was wondering if there would be any issues with me grabbing some live seaweed from the ocean (keep in mind I live near Boston -- Atlantic Ocean) and put it in my tank.

It may not like the change in conditions -- but I'm more worried about the tank.

Two reasons why I want to is that it looks nice, and my herbivorous fish may like to snack on it?

Only real issues I would have is importing pollution into your tank. Unfortunately waters near our beaches and bays have a decent amount of pollution and unfortunately plants absorb heavy amounts of pollution. That would be my primary worry.

I had a rock that I got from the beach and loved the look of it with all these imbeded shells making up the rock. I wanted to include it in the reef but decided it was better to be safe than sorry and the rock is instead outside.
